An Edgar Allan Poe award winner, and the record holder in the Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine Reader’s Awards competition, Doug Allyn has been described as one of the best short story writers of his generation - and probably of all time. The author of eight novels and more than a hundred short stories published in five languages, Allyn studied creative writing and criminal psychology at the University of Michigan. His background includes Chinese language studies at Indiana University and duty in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.
